What it is
DailyMed is the U.S. FDA's free, public repository of the current official drug labels — structured SPL XML for every approved drug, biological, and OTC product.
Why we trust it
Labels are the FDA-mandated source of truth. DailyMed content is updated as the FDA receives revised labelling.
What we use it for
Secondary source for drug interactions — used when DrugBank doesn't cover an interaction and we need the official FDA label text.
How Suvo applies it
DailyMed is useful when Suvo needs the wording of an official product label rather than a summary database. It helps confirm warnings, contraindications, metabolism notes, and label language that may affect supplement timing or caution messages.
Limits
Drug labels are product-specific and may not discuss every supplement. Suvo uses DailyMed as an official fallback source and keeps user-facing language conservative when the label is incomplete or indirect.
